Task |
A unit of processing required for the execution of a particular transaction. |

Transaction |
A unit of processing that consists of one or more application programs started by a single request. |

Transaction, Command |
A Teradata‑supplied transaction that manages the operation of the CICS Interface. |

Transaction, Conversational |
A CICS transaction characterized by dialog with a user. Such a transaction waits for user input and responds with output data. |

Transaction, Pseudo‑Conversational |
A CICS transaction designed to appear to the user as a continuous conversation occurring as part of a single transaction. Unlike a conversational transaction, a pseudo‑conversational transaction does not use CICS resources while waiting for user input. |

Transid |
The four‑character abbreviation of a CICS Interface transaction. Same as CICS transid. |
