When copying UDFs, UDMs, or external stored procedures from one system to another, and the definition (CREATE or REPLACE statement) includes an EXTERNAL NAME clause that specifies a library or package, make sure that library or package is on the target system before copying the UDF, UDM, or external stored procedure. Otherwise an error will occur.

SQL External Routine Programming (B035-1147) provides further information about UDTs and UDMs in general, and about an error that is described in the prior paragraph.
