- From the Configure Enhanced Connectivity Node Host Channels or Configure Extended Channel Solution Host Channels screen, select Add CPs for existing ECN Adapter or Add CPs for existing ECS Adapter.
- In the Create Additional connections for an ECN Adapter or Create Additional connections for an ECS Adapter screen, select the ECN/ECS Adapter and the number of new connection points you want to define and click Next.
-
Enter the parameters for each new CP in the Create New ECN CP or Create New ECS CP screen, and click Next until there are no more CPs to configure.
PUT supplies the parameters on existing ECN/ECS Host Channels.
-
When all ECN/ECS CP parameters are correct, click Next.
You return to the Configure Enhanced Connectivity Node Host Channels or Configure Extended Channel Solution Host Channels screen where you can choose to end the operation or select another option.
-
When all configurations are complete, select Done.
When PUT reaches the Vproc Configuration step, select Examine/Modify existing vprocs and verify that all initializing PE (PEs associated with a CHANNEL statement by the HGID column) for CP on a single physical ECN/ECS-based adapter are assigned to the same TPA node. Teradata enforces this rule, but it is recommended that you verify the configuration.
