The Pdisk Configuration step assigns available storage and the associated pdisks to AMP vprocs (for Teradata Database release 12.0 or earlier) or to subpools (for Teradata Database releases later than 12.0).
This step is only available in Custom configuration mode.
Storage can only be removed from a vproc if Teradata is not currently using it.
Working With the Pdisk Configuration Window
The Pdisk Configuration screen shows a default Pdisk configuration tree. To work with the pdisk configuration from the interface note the following:
- To expand a branch of the tree, click +.
- To collapse an expanded branch, click -.
- Double-clicking the name of the branch expands and collapses it.
- Expanding the “System” branch lists all the cliques or subpools. Expanding a clique or subpool lists all the vprocs in that clique/subpool. Expanding a vproc lists all the storage assigned to that vproc.
- If you do not want to change the configuration, click Next.
