Obtain the upgrade packages, then place them in the Customer Mode directory:
/var/opt/teradata/customermodepkgs

Log in to the PUT Customer Mode.

Select Install/Upgrade Software.

Confirm the summary, and click Next.
When upgrading Vantage, DBC Login Information Entry displays.

Enter the DBC password and click Next.

Make sure users have been notified that the database is about to powered off and confirm that the database is quiescent.

Click Next.
A summary of what was upgraded displays. If this was a kernel upgrade, it also reports that you performed a VM&F upgrade.

Click Finish.
