The information presented and actions required at this juncture differ depending on the selected component type:
  • If you selected Interconnect Firmware as the component type, PUT skips this step.
  • If you selected Storage Firmware as the component type, and the download is being performed on DotHill storage arrays, PUT skips this step.
  • If you selected Storage Firmware as the component type, and the download is being performed on Teradata storage arrays (NetApp), the Collected Support Information Summary screen displays a summary of the support information collected for each array considered eligible in the previous step. For each array, the summary table lists the information retrieved from that array’s Recovery Guru. If a Major Event Log Analysis is also performed for this array, a summary of those results also appears.

Click the Recovery Guru or MEL Analysis button for each array to display a detailed breakdown of that array’s entries. Each array that fails the MEL Analysis is not considered for firmware download unless you choose to override the warnings by selecting the Override checkbox for that array.

    Collect Support Information Summary screen

Support information is collected and stored on the master node and its location is noted on the screen. The support information includes:
    • Array Health Information
    • Array Profile
    • Major Event Log
    • RLS Data
    • Recovery Guru Entries
    • State Capture Log
    Example: Major Event Log
    Filtered Major Event Log example

  • If Query Array Health is selected as the component type for a NetApp array, PUT analyzes the Event log and displays potential errors on the Collected Support Information Summary screen. The Recover Guru log contains entries about component or logic failures on the array that require a recovery action.
    • Click a disk array listing to view a detailed summary of the log for the selected array.
    • Click Next to complete the operation for the Query Array Health option.
