PUT cannot be installed on CMIC and VMS nodes. PUT should be installed on the individual Virtual Machines within the VMS (for example, Viewpoint or SWS).

The Select Nodes step allows you to choose the nodes on which you want to perform the current operation. The Selected list on the right shows the nodes that are already chosen. The Available list on the left shows the nodes that can be chosen.

You can specify nodes for the current operation in the following ways:

Function User Action
Include one node Select the node in the Available list and move it to the Selected list by clicking the >> button.
Exclude one node Select the node in the Selected list and move it to the Available list by clicking the << button. When you move a node to the Available list, it appears at the bottom of the list.
Include multiple, contiguous nodes at one time Select the first node in the Available list, press and hold the SHIFT key, then select the last node. Those nodes and all nodes between them are selected and can be moved to the Selected list by clicking the >> button.
Include multiple noncontiguous nodes at one time Press and hold the Ctrl key as you select each node in the Available list that you want to include, then move them to the Selected list by clicking the >> button.
If you are working with Teradata operations on an SMP node, always select the default value localhost. Also, ensure that Teradata has been installed on the nodes before performing any Teradata operations.
