Starting with Teradata Database Release 13.0 (and later), initialize pdisks for use by TVS before they can be used for Teradata.
  1. From the PDE bin directory, run the tvsaDeviceInit command to initialize the pdisks:
    tvsaDeviceInit pdiskname
    where:
    • pdiskname is the pdiskname of this pdisk as it appears in the vconfig.txt file.
This command must be run once for each new pdisk on the node where verify_pdisks indicated an error for that pdisk.
  2. From the same command line, run:
    tvsaprofiler -put
