Teradata recommends that you read and understand all the recovery procedure topics before beginning Logical Unit Number (LUN) recovery. Some of the steps that are described are destructive to the target devices and will destroy any remaining data as a result of recreating those devices. It is, therefore, critical to ensure the correct devices are specified during the recovery procedure. If you do not understand a step or have questions about that step, stop the recovery procedure and do not attempt to perform the step. Instead, contact your Teradata support representative for further clarification. Likewise, if an application reports an error or you observe something that is not explained in the recovery procedure topics, stop the recovery procedure and contact your Teradata support representative.
