The Toggle HSN step requires:
- A minimum of Teradata 13.0 on all nodes in the system
- All nodes in the system to be selected, and any other nodes that are not part of the system cannot be selected
- At least one Hot Standby or Persistent Hot Standby node in the system
The options available on the Toggle HSN screen are:

| Convert HSN to Active Nodes | The Convert HSN to Active nodes option converts all Hot Standby nodes to Active nodes and stores the information in a temporary file (toggleHsn_noHsn_vconfig.txt). Once selected to continue, PUT transfers these changes to the vconfig.txt file. |
| Select Available HSNs | Some platforms allow the user to select one or more, but not all, Hot Standby nodes from the available list. This list is displayed on the PUT screen when applicable. |
| Restore HSN | The Restore HSN option restores all original Hot Standby nodes using the backup file toggleHsn_orig_vconfig.txt. |
