Teradata Corporation recommends that Teradata Extension for TSM users disable the TSM space reclamation feature to allow faster restore jobs. However, when space reclamation is disabled and an image expires on TSM, the corresponding image entry is removed from the TSM database or TSM catalog but not deleted from the tape.
