The following are some preliminary root user tasks to help users get up and running with AppCenter:

| Add registries . | Registries specify Docker containers from which AppCenter pulls images for deployment of apps. |
| Add systems . | Scripts and apps that run once or on a schedule can query Teradata Vantage™, Teradata Database, and Aster systems. |
| Add LDAP configurations . | User authentication is based on configured domains, including domain groups. You can add multiple domains. Although Teradata® AppCenter allows you to configure corporate LDAP or LDAPS, we strongly recommended you engage the Teradata Center for Enterprise Security team that is part of Teradata Professional Services to provide this configuration service. | Import admin users . | Users who are part of a configured LDAP domain and who have not logged in yet, can be imported as admin users. Administrators can also import admin users. |
