This procedure describes how to enable Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and verify that an IP address has been assigned to the tape library.
  1. Log on to the Quantum Scalar Tape Library from the operator panel using the following credentials:
    • User name: admin
    • Password: password
  2. Select OK.
  3. Under Setup > Network Configuration > IPv4 Configuration, perform the following steps to set up DHCP:
    1. Tap Enable next to DHCP to have an IP address assigned automatically to the system.
    2. Select OK. A Success window appears.
    3. Select OK.
  4. Verify an IP address has been assigned to the library.
    1. Verify the IP version 4 option button is activated, then select Next.
    2. Verify the IP address is displayed in the IP Address box.
    3. Select Cancel.
