Purpose

The discover_internals command discovers internals based on AXM type support and type of backup application; for example, NBU policies.

Syntax

discover_internals s|server thirdpartyserver u|user_authentication User

Example

discover_internals -s nbu_server1 -u

Parameters

s|server thirdpartyserver

The name of the third party server

Example: nbu_server1

u|user_authentication User

Required when security management is enabled. Supplies the command with the Viewpoint user, and triggers a password prompt for authentication.

Permissions required: Administrator role

Usage Notes

discover_internals collects the NBU policies and their associated number of devices and saves them into the DSC repository.
