     ALTER TABLE orders 
     MODIFY 
     PARTITION BY RANGE_N(o_orderdate BETWEEN DATE '1993-01-01'
                                      AND     DATE '2000-12-31' 
                                      EACH INTERVAL '1' MONTH);
