Try the following steps to determine why a new port number that you have specified for the Appliance Backup Utility server has not taken effect.
  1. [Optional] If the Appliance Backup Utility server is not running on the new port:
    1. Verify that the new port is reflected in the [Defaults] stanza of the /etc/opt/teradata/abu_service/defaults file and correct if necessary.
    2. Type /etc/init.d/tdabusrv start to start the Appliance Backup Utility server.
    3. On all Appliance Backup Utility clients, type /etc/init.d/tdabuclient start to start the clients.
  2. [Optional] If an Appliance Backup Utility client is trying to connect to the Appliance Backup Utility server on the old port:
    1. Verify that the new port is reflected in the /home/abuservice/config file and correct if necessary.
    2. Type /etc/init.d/tdabusrv start to start the Appliance Backup Utility server.
    3. On all Appliance Backup Utility clients, type /etc/init.d/tdabuclient start to start the clients.
