You can restore selected objects or user databases from any backup data in the storage device. You cannot restore the entire DBC database with the Restore Selected Objects option.
The Restore Selected Objects option is required if you want to restore a Backup All job created with a prior version of Appliance Backup Utility. The Restore Latest option is available if the Backup All job was created with the current version of Appliance Backup Utility.
  1. From the menu, click Task > Restore Selected Objects.
  2. In the Restore Object Selection dialog box:
    1. In the left pane, highlight a database and click next to the database tree you want to expand.
    2. In the right pane, select the boxes next to the user databases or objects in the database that you want to restore. Do not select the entire DBC database.
Select all objects in a user database by checking the check box next to the user database in the left pane.
  3. Click to build the ARC script.
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the Script Options dialog box, enter the Job Name and any other options you choose.
The number of streams for the restore job must match the backup job or the job will fail.
If you manually change client assignments for this backup dataset, the restore job requires the same changes in the Clients Assignment field and DestinationPath keyword values in the Script Editor.
