To archive a database or a table in a database, the user named in the LOGON statement must have one of the following:

  • The DUMP privilege on the database or table to archive
  • Ownership of the database or table
  • To archive database DBC, the user name must either be “User DBC” or be granted the DUMP and SELECT privileges by user DBC.

    To archive a journal table, the user name must have the DUMP privilege on one of the following:

  • The journal table itself
  • The database that contains the journal table
  • To Archive a UIF object, the user named in the LOGON statement must have:

  • The DUMP privilege on the database to be archived
  • Note: You cannot grant the DUMP privilege on the UIF object itself, but with the database-level DUMP privilege you can do a table-level archive of the individual UIF object.
