ODBC and JDBC Drivers are available for clients to access Presto. The following steps are performed on the client machine. Use the procedures to set up a Windows, Linux, or Mac client for Presto.
  1. On the client, log in.
  2. From the Teradata Presto page, download the Enterprise ODBC and JDBC drivers.
    1. Go to http://www.teradata.com/presto.
    2. Click Download Presto Drivers.
    3. Complete the Your Information fields, then click Download.
    4. Read the Presto Suite License Agreement, then click I Agree to continue.
    5. Click Presto Client Package (tar.gz) or Presto Client Package (zip). The package downloads.
  3. Open the directory the presto_client_pkg.<version> file was downloaded to and untar or unzip the files.
  4. Install the JDBC or ODBC drivers. The presto_client_pkg.<version> directory contains separate folders for the ODBC and JDBC drivers and installation documentation.
    1. Double-click the presto_client_pkg.<version> directory.
    2. Double-click the directory that contains the type of driver you want to use (jdbc or odbc directory).
      The ODBC directory contains both 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.
    3. Open the PDF containing the installation documentation and use it to install the driver.
