Before installing Presto, a Teradata-certified version of CDH 5.8 or later, or HDP version 2.5 or later, must be installed on the Teradata Appliance for Hadoop 6 cluster.
A Presto site ID is required if Teradata Customer Support configures Presto on a new or existing Teradata Appliance for Hadoop 6 cluster, or if a customer would like Presto support after Presto installation and configuration, regardless of who installs and configures Presto.
[Teradata Personnel] Open an appropriate change control. If you will not have Internet access at the site, download the Presto package and client packages you will need. See Downloading the Presto Package and Setting Up Presto Drivers on a Client.
Before beginning the Presto installation, gather the necessary information and set up the administrators for Presto.
