1 Site preparation task list completed Review the Site Preparation Task List in the appropriate Product and Site Preparation Guide. Be sure all items in that checklist have been completed and the site is ready for installation.
A fully-loaded 2800 cabinet is heavier than the maximum weight of any previously-released Teradata cabinet.
  • A fully-loaded, crated 2800 cabinet can weigh up to 1,149 kg (2,534 lbs).
  • A fully-loaded, uncrated 2800 cabinet can weigh up to 968 kg (2,134 lbs).
To prepare to transport, move, and install a cabinet that is not fully loaded, the account team should estimate the weight using the tools provided in Service Bulletin 502 (SB502).

3 Staging checklist completed and returned to Flex Make sure that the customer, Customer Services, and the sales team all understand and are in agreement with the system configuration.
4 Teradata configuration confirmed Make sure that the customer, Customer Services, and the sales team all understand and are in agreement with the system configuration.
5 Change Control plan confirmed Make sure that a Teradata Change Control has been opened and that it has all necessary approvals. Also verify with the customer if they require an internal Change Control prior to installation.
6 Customer power and CRAC adequate Make sure that the system power and CRAC requirements are met and ready for installation at the customer site.

7 Customer floor plan validated Make sure that the customer's floor plan for the system is still valid and ready for installation at the customer site.

8 Environmental requirements met Make sure that the customer site meets all environmental requirements.

9 Spare parts ordered When applicable, make sure appropriate spare parts are ordered and stored properly.
10 Remote connectivity availability verified Make sure ServiceConnect (SMWeb 11 or later) access is established.
