Remote authentication is a user service (RADIUS) networking protocol, operating on port 1812, providing centralized authentication, authorization, and accounting management for users who connect and use a network service.

If you want to use the RADIUS server, complete the Remote Authentication settings as follows:

  1. In the Web Client, select "" > Settings > Remote Authentication.
  2. Select Enabled and complete the following:
    Setting Description
Host The host IP address or host name of the proxy server.

If the IP address is static, type the IP address of the RADIUS server.

If the IP address is not static, type the name of the machine hosting the RADIUS server.

Port If using the default port for RADIUS authentication, enter 1812.

If not using the default port for RADIUS authentication, enter the port number being used (this value must fall within the range of 1 to 65536).

Validate Host If host validation is required, select Validate Host.
