The operational state represents the status of the CMIC's ability to monitor and manage a component or chassis. The operational state of a chassis does not necessarily reflect the operational condition of the entire node or system, or a problem reported for a component or chassis.
Web Client Icon Java Client Icon and Text Primary Operational State Description
"" (Information) "" (OK) No action is required. The component is operating normally.
"" (Warning) "" (Warning) The component or subsystem is reporting a condition that does not threaten system operation, but could worsen over time. Monitor the condition.
"" (Degraded) "" (Critical) Take immediate action, as the component or subsystem cannot continue to operate in this state.
Critical conditions are handled internally by components or subsystems, causing them to shut down.
"" (Severe) "" (Fatal) Take immediate action to return the system to its normal operating state. The component or subsystem has failed.

(Unknown)
The operational state of the component is unknown. The most likely cause for an unknown state is incompatible software or firmware on the managed device. In rare cases the underlying software receives an unexpected status or information from a managed device, and does not know how to handle it.
