If the ABU GUI fails to launch in a Windows environment, verify that the user has the following permission.

Go to one of the following folders:
Installation Package Folder 32-bit C:\Program Files (x86)\Teradata\ 64-bit C:\Program Files\Teradata\ - Right-click the \ABU folder and select Properties.
- Click the Security tab.
- Under Group or user names, click Edit. A Permissions for ABU dialog box appears.
- Select Users.
- In the Permissions for Users panel, check Full Control.
- Click Apply.
- If necessary, restart the GUI.
