The PointInPolygon function requires two input tables, source and reference. These tables must have the same coordinate reference system.

PointInPolygon Source Table Schema
Column Name Data Type Description
source_location_point_column If you specify only this column:

CHAR, VARCHAR, or TEXT

If you specify two columns:

SMALLINT, INTEGER, BIGINT, DOUBLE PRECISION, NUMERIC, or DECIMAL

If you specify only this column: Contains WKT content.

If you specified two columns: Contains the x coordinates of the points.

source_location_point_column_2 SMALLINT, INTEGER, BIGINT, DOUBLE PRECISION, NUMERIC, or DECIMAL Contains the y coordinates of the points.
accumulate_column Any Column to copy to the output table.
