Prerequisites - Aster Client

• The versions of the Aster client and server must be the same, as backward and forward compatibility are not ensured.
• You must be logged in to Aster Database system from ACT, JDBC, or ODBC to maintain the context of your internal connection. When the session ends, your connection ends and you must reauthenticate if you wish to connect again.
• Authentication Cascading is enabled specifically for Teradata Aster SQL-MapReduce® functions; it is not supported for Stream.
• When using Authentication Cascading, you should omit the username and password.
