Follow the steps below to install the .NET Data Provider for Aster:

Place the installer on your client machine:
- For 32-bit, the installer is nClusterDNProviderInstaller_i386.msi
- For 64-bit, the installer is nClusterDNProviderInstaller_x64.msi

Run the installer.
- In the Welcome screen, click Next.

In the Select Installation Folder screen:
Choose the installation location. The default, depending on your version of Windows will be something like one of:
C:\Program Files\Teradata Aster\.NET Data Provider for Aster (x86)\ C:\Program Files\Teradata Aster\.NET Data Provider for Aster (x64)\
Specify who should be allowed to use the driver by choosing Everyone or Just me.
Click Next.
- In the Confirm window, click Next.
- When the Installation Complete window appears, click Close.
Before proceeding, make sure that the .NET Data Provider for Aster is installed correctly. There should be several DLL files and the RegisterAsterProvider.exe file in the .NET provider install path (for example, C:\Program Files (x86)\Teradata Aster\Aster .NET Data Provider (x86)). If not, the .NET Data Provider for Aster will not work. You can also check the installation from the Control Panel. If the size of Aster .NET Data Provider (x86) is less than 1 MB and the version is 1.0.x, you need a new driver.
