To install ACT on Linux:
- Place the executable in a directory on your client machine. Teradata Aster recommends that you use the directory, /home/beehive/clients.
- Change the file’s permissions to make it executable:
$ chmod 755 act
ACT for Linux requires glibc version 2.7 or higher. If you do not have glibc version 2.7 or higher, you must use the IP address instead of the hostname for the -h flag when running ACT. To check the version of glibc, issue the command:
ldd --version
See the section Launching ACT for information on running ACT.
