A global deadlock refers to a deadlock between Business Continuity Manager and Teradata Database. A global deadlock may occur when Business Continuity Manager uses passive and managed routing simultaneously with the option Passive Routing Allow Managed Writes selected.

You can change how often Business Continuity Manager attempts to detect a global deadlock between Business Continuity Manager and a Teradata system.

Because of performance degradation, enable Global Deadlock Detection only if you encounter deadlock issues.
  1. From bcmadmin, enter the following command with the new time interval:
    CONFIG UPDATE globaldeadlockdetectioninterval <numberofseconds> REASON 'Enabling global deadlock detection';
