If the value provided is not appropriate for the application, perform the following steps before calling DBCHCL:

  1. Set Change-options to 'Y'.
  2. Change the value for Wait Across Delay as follows.
    If CLI is to return control to the application... Then change the value for Wait Across Delay to...
    after the Teradata Database restart completes Y
    as soon as the database computer crash/restart is detected N

The Fetch, Rewind, End Request, and Abort functions read and use the value of Wait Across Delay, but do not store it.
