The CLI System Parameter Block (CLI2SPB), the internal SPB, is a data structure that is examined during initialization. During initialization, any DBCAREA values not set in the clispb.dat file by the user will default to the values contained in CLI2SPB.
On the release media, the accessible SPB file is named clispb.dat and contains the required system-specific defaults when a DBCAREA is initialized. The values are specified with mnemonic field specifiers to permit flexible organization of data in the SPB file.
