Before aborting a DSC repository job, you must have a repository backup job configuration file exported to a remote location. If you abort a DSC repository restore job while the job is in progress, DSC metadata will be corrupted. DSC triggers a command to restore all repository tables to their initial state, which is an empty table. This results in loss of data unless user follows disaster recovery procedure to recover DSC repository.
