Teradata recommends that DBAs create users and privileges through Unity. Unity synchronizes passwords and privileges on all Teradata systems it controls. If a DBA creates users directly on the individual database systems, the DBA must make sure that user credentials and privileges are in synch on all Teradata systems involved.
