You can use resource usage macros to report resource usage data. You can enable resource usage tables to:

  • Observe the balance of disk and CPU usage
  • Obtain pdisk usage information
  • Check for bottlenecks
  • Provide an overall history of the system operation
  • Monitor the utilization of AMP Worker Tasks (AWTs)
Resource usage data is useful for the following purposes:
  • Measuring system performance

  • Assisting with on-site job scheduling
  • Identifying potential performance impacts
  • Planning installation, upgrade, and migration
