The upgrade process recompiles one User-Defined Function (UDF) in each UDF database for the purpose of re-linking all of the UDFs in each database. Similar operations are performed for the User-Defined Types (UDTs). The result of these operations are stored in the following directories:

This operation is performed for major and minor upgrades only.
