The Pre-Upgrade Preparation Script evaluates the Teradata Database to find any problems that must be addressed before a major or a minor Teradata Database upgrade is performed. The script combines several inspections into a single script. The script also runs queries to generate data to input into the Upgrade Estimator Tool, which estimates the time required for the upgrade.

- In-Doubt Transactions (Replication systems only)
- MDS Rows
- Default Role assigned to user DBC
- Potential Unicode Conversion errors

The summary report also provides data you will use when you run the Upgrade Estimator Tool. Make sure you save this information for later use.
