See CREATE TABLE and CREATE TABLE (Queue Table Form) and SQL Data Definition Language - Detailed Topics, B035-1184 for further information about table definitions and primary index partitioning.

The ALTER TABLE TO CURRENT statement is a variant of ALTER TABLE that you can use to reconcile the partitioning of a partitioned primary index for a temporal table or uncompressed join index defined on a temporal table (see “ALTER TABLE TO CURRENT” on page 118).

See Database Design, B035-1094 for more information about partitioned primary indexes and the system-derived PARTITION and PARTITION#Ln columns.

See SQL Request and Transaction Processing, B035-1142 for information about the various forms of partition elimination.

See Temporal Table Support, B035-1182 for information about using ALTER TABLE requests to modify temporal tables.
