Purpose

Deallocates a CP from a TDP.

Syntax



where:

cpname
CP as IFPnnnn, where nnnn is the device number of the even-numbered CP device, in three or four hexadecimal digits.

Usage Notes

If the devices were dynamically allocated by the ATTACH or START commands, they are de-allocated.

The DETACH IFP command is successful only if the CP identified is currently attached to TDP and the CP is stopped.

The CP is considered stopped if the CP was never started, or if a STOP CP operator command was successfully processed for the CP.
