Purpose

Causes TDP to produce a message when a session is not satisfied from a session pool.

Syntax

Usage Notes

If POOL DETAIL is enabled, one message of the following type is produced for each session pool for which the session is not eligible:

TDP310n POOL name INELIGIBLE (reason): JOB name

If the session is eligible for a session pool but the pool cannot be used, a message of the following type is produced:

TDP311n POOL name ELIGIBLE BUT reason: JOB name

If the session is not eligible for a session pool, a message of the following type is produced:

TDP312n NO POOL ELIGIBLE (reason): JOB name
TDP313n NO POOL ELIGIBLE (reason): JOB name

Care should be exercised when enabling POOL DETAIL since many messages might result. One message will be produced for each session for each session pool that is not eligible.

When TDP is started, POOL DETAIL is disabled. To subsequently enable POOL DETAIL, use the ENABLE POOL DETAIL command. The current setting can be displayed using the DISPLAY TDP command. POOL DETAIL can be disabled using the DISABLE POOL DETAIL command.
