Purpose
Causes TDP to send the time from the client to the database.
Syntax
Usage Notes
If neither an ENABLE TIME nor a DISABLE TIME command is issued, the deprecated default action specified in the distributed HSISPB is DISABLE.
If you are using a Teradata Database release between V1R4.1 and V1R5.1, inclusive, the ENABLE TIME feature is supported only for DBC/1012 configurations controlled by a Model 2 Access Module Processor (AMP) or below. If the configuration at your site does not include a Model 2 AMP, you might want to include the DISABLE TIME command in the TDPPARM data set to reduce meaningless communication traffic.
For releases prior to V1R4.1 or V1R5.2 and above, ENABLE or DISABLE TIME function as expected.
To set the time, use the RDBMS console command, SET TIME.
Example: ENABLE TIME
ENA TIM
Completion Message
TDP0596 HOST TO SERVER TIME MESSAGES: ENABLED
