Purpose
Ends communication with the database using a specified channel device.

- cpname
- Pair of database communication devices specified as CPnnnn, where nnnn is the device number of the even-numbered IFP device. Either three or four hexadecimal digits can be specified.
Usage Notes
The STOP CP command can be used only when the CP is STARTed.
A STOP command for a CCU-type will complete only after a response is received for each request active on that CP when the STOP command was executed.
A STOP command for a CIC-type CP will complete only after all sessions on the dependent-SP logoff, which might require that some session pools be STOPped and IRF be DISABLEd and re-ENABLEd.
Example: STOP CP
STOP CPC308
