Purpose
Displays detailed information on jobs that communicate with the Teradata Database through TDP. The DISPLAY JOB command requires a valid job name as an operand. Note that in some cases the job name is a userid.
To use this command, you must first use the DISPLAY SESSIONS command to display a list of current jobs, then use a listed jobname as the operand to the DISPLAY JOB command.
Syntax
The DI and DIS abbreviations are deprecated.
where:
- jobname
- Name of job for which status information is to be displayed.
Usage Notes
When the DISPLAY JOB command is executed, TDP displays:
- Job name
- Number of sessions owned by the job
- Status of logons (enabled or disabled) for the job
- Status of each session owned by a job:
- Name of the job owning the session
- Session number (in decimal numbers)
- Status of the session
One of the following is always present:
Status Description IDLE Session has no request active. ACTIVE Session has a request active One or more of the following can be present if the condition occurs:
Status Description STARTING Session has not completed logon processing. ENDING Session has not completed logoff processing. SWITCH PENDING Session must be switched to another session processor, which is not yet assigned. SWITCH ACTIVE Session is currently being switched to a new session processor.
