- Log on to the standby Ecosystem Manager server as a syncuser.
- Stop all Ecosystem Manager services: /opt/teradata/emserver/bin/emstopall.sh
- Change any Ecosystem Manager passwords in the Database or OS. In the dual Ecosystem Manager environment, use the same passwords for both active and standby servers for the Database or OS.

Enter the new passwords for the Ecosystem Manager users in the passwords.txt file and save the file.
/opt/teradata/emserver/repository/passwords.txt
The default passwords in the passwords.txt file are as
follows:

The /opt/teradata/emserver/repository/passwords.txt file is used as an input mechanism to change the password. Once this process is complete, changed passwords are updated in the secure password store and this file is deleted automatically. - Run the upgrade script: /opt/teradata/emserver/repository/upgrade.sh
- Log on to the other Ecosystem Manager server and repeat the procedure.

- For a dual Ecosystem Manager environment, as a syncuser, run the following:
