The emeventconsumer file is available on Ecosystem Manager servers.

  1. To verify that IPv6 is enabled, contact the server using ping6.
  2. Identify the IPv6 address of the server: ifconfig The output includes the information you need as shown in the following example:
    inet6 addr: fe80::250:56ff:fe86:167e Scope:Link
    Where fe80::250:56ff:fe86:b77/64 is the IPv6 address.
  3. Specify the IPv6 address in the $EM_HOME/conf/emeventconsumer file to include the broker URLs for failover.
    BROKER=[::1]:61616
    BROKER=[fe80::250:56ff:fe86:40cd]:61616
    Where [::1] is a local server, and [IP Address] is the IPv6 address of a remote server. The default port number for the Active MQ service is 61616.
