Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) collects operational metadata, such as execution parameters and runtime metrics, from jobs running in your ecosystem. For Ecosystem Manager to be able to receive the metadata messages, the following need to be in place:

  • TPT version 14.10.00.04 or later is installed on the client
  • Ecosystem Manager client software is installed on the client, using emserviceconfig.sh
Operational metadata messages are enabled by default on each client component, and sent to the Ecosystem Manager system. If the client does not have TPT installed, or if you are not interested in its operational metadata, you can disable the functionality.
