You can bulk assign alerts and action rules to one or more servers. You can assign alerts based on missing heartbeats or threshold levels. The alert has the same thresholds for each server. Add action rules to occur based on the alerts. The actions include messaging or scripts.
For example, you can add an alert to a group of servers to send an email whenever the time elapsed between heartbeats is greater than 45 seconds.
