To access the Daemons view, click the Daemons tab. The Daemons view displays the following information for each daemon you are monitoring:
- Daemon Group
- Name of the daemon group.
- Daemon
- Name of each daemon in the group. All daemons in a group must have the same name.
- Group State
- Combined state of all the daemons in the group. The summary group state depends upon the initial high availability pattern set for the daemon group.
Summary Group States for Active/Active Groups Summary Group States for Active/Standby Groups - Active if at least one daemon is Active
- Passive if all daemons are Passive
- Out of Service (OOS) if there are no daemons in Active state and at least one daemon is OOS
- Active if one and only one daemon is Active. Other daemons can be in any state.
- Passive if:
- No daemon is in an active state.
- Zero or more daemons are in standby states.
- No daemon is out of service.
- One or more daemons are in a passive state.
- OOS if:
- No daemon is in an active state.
- Zero or more daemons are in standby.
- Zero or more daemons are in a passive state.
- One or more daemons are in an out of service state.
- Daemon
- Name of each daemon in the group. All daemons in a group must have the same name.
- HA Pattern
- Initial High Availability pattern set for daemons in the group. Patterns are active/active or active/standby.
- Server
- Location of the daemon. All daemons in a group must have a different server location.
- Daemon
- Name of each daemon in the group. All daemons in a group must have the same name.
- State
- Current state of the daemon. A valid state for the daemon depends on the high availability pattern selected for the daemon group.
Valid Daemon States for Active/Active HA Pattern Valid Daemon States for Active/Standby HA Pattern - Active: One or more daemons
- Passive: Zero or more daemons
- Out of Service (OOS): Zero or more daemons
- Active: One daemon
- Standby: Zero or more daemons
- Passive: Zero or more daemons
- Out of Service (OOS): Zero or more daemons
- Condition
- Status of the daemon. If resource values are outside the defined threshold values, the condition changes to a warning or critical level.
