Teradata Elastic Compute is an on-demand, pay-as-you-go compute offering in Teradata Cloud. It provides isolated compute clusters that you can start on demand or on a schedule.

Elastic Compute separates compute from storage, so you can scale resources independently. It is optimized for object store workloads and supports Open Table Formats (OTF) and Native Object Store (NOS).

Use Elastic Compute to:
  • Run analytics and AI/ML workloads on dedicated compute clusters without resource contention.
  • Pay only for the compute resources you use.
  • Start or stop compute clusters manually or on a schedule.
  • Query data stored in open data formats across the Teradata data ecosystem.
