Use the NetBackup Administration Console for this procedure.
The Maximum jobs per client attribute value is calculated with this formula:
Max Jobs per Client = Number of Streams * Number of Policies
where the following is true:
- Number of Streams – the number of backup streams between the database server and NetBackup. Each separate stream starts a new backup job on the client.
- Number of Policies – the number of policies that can back up this client at the same time. This number can be greater than one. For example, a client might be in two policies in order to back up two different databases. These backup windows might overlap.
Use the NetBackup Administration Console or a Remote Administration Console host to set the Maximum jobs per client attribute.
