After you have deleted the DBC database and reinitialized the system, restore the DBC database backup job.
- From the Teradata Tiered Archive/Restore Architecture dialog box, click .
- In the Restore object selection dialog box, select the job that backed up all or only the DBC database.

The . Restore DBC dialog box appears.
- Click Generate in step 1. The DBC database is deleted and restored.
- [Optional] Check the Skip Step 1 box if you will not complete the remaining steps listed in this dialog box at the current time. Checking the box will remind you that the first step has been completed.
- Validate that the DBC database has been restored by checking job status in the TARA GUI.
- On a TPA node, run the post_dbc_restore script. When PUTTools is installed, the script is located at /opt/teradata/PUTTools/td14.xx.xx.xx/IUMB_script.
- Validate that the restore script completed successfully. A message indicates when the script has completed.
- In the Restore DBC dialog box, click Done.
- Click Generate in step 3.
- After the data and journal tables are restored, run the post_data_restore script on the TPA node at /opt/teradata/PUTTools/td14.xx.xx.xx/IUMB_script.
- Click Close.
